LOCAL RESIDENT HOLDS FREE CYCLE EVENT ALONGSIDE RON HILL 10K

Local Resident, David Boyle, a qualified British Cycle Leader, will be holding a bike ride alongside the Ron Hill 10k on Sunday 6th March. The  bike ride will perfectly compliment the run taking in many of Accrington and Baxenden's wonderful sights. The cycle begins at 2pm, after the Ron Hill race finishes, if you wish to attend, please be there 15-20 early as the bike ride will begin promptly. The total distance of the ride will be 7.7 miles and will take in historical aspects of Accrington and Baxenden. David Boyle says "this ride is for everybody, whether you're a seasoned rider, a novice, or just fancy taking the family out for a nice afternoon ride." David is hoping this will become a yearly event to coincide with the Ron Hill and promote fitness within our town. The event is free but refreshments will cost money and shall support St. James Church, Accrington and The Haworth Art Gallery, Baxenden. The event will start at St. James Church in Accrington Town Centre where the Cubs will be giving out refreshments alongside the Vicar, Ian Enticott. David is fully insured by SkyRide to lead the tour and says "it'll be great fun for everybody involved, hopefully the weather will be on our side!"
